William “Bill” Plunkett grew up in Northeast Texas where he developed a love for nature. Although educated as a Systems Analyst and Computer Programmer, and working in that field for 30 years, photography has been a hobby and passion since junior high school.

After retirement from the computer industry, he pursued photography full-time. He is a Charter Member, past Board Member and Past President of the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA.ORG) and was the Executive Director of the the NANPA Foundation (now the Nature Photography Foundation) for 2 years. He taught photography workshops and Adobe Photoshop at the New Mexico Photography Field School in Santa Fe for 3 years.

Bill is now happily making nature photographs and using them to create custom Fine Art Prints and Greeting Cards in his studio located on Lake Cherokee near Longview Texas, where he lives with the love of his life and wife of 54 years, Sarah, and a couple of great dogs - Bella and Mikey.
